In it’s first year, Summer in the Square organised by Cambridge BID brought together community projects, local businesses, art workshops, live music, delicious food and drink and more to Station Square.
At the start of July, the team were delighted to welcome 14-year-old Scout to join our marketing team for a day of work experience.
Cambridge Food & Drink Week 2025 (28 June - 11 July) organised by Cambridge BID, Food & Drink Week 2025 brought together the city’s vibrant culinary community for a two-week celebration of flavour, creativity, and local hospitality. The initiative aimed to increase footfall, drive business engagement, and inspire residents and visitors to discover new venues across Cambridge.

Got a uniform that's seen better days? Whether it’s worn knees or the dreaded cyclist’s crotch, help is at hand — and it’s sustainable too! As part of Summer in the Square, the Cambridgeshire Repair Café Network is bringing its brilliantly titled Cambridge Crotch Workshop to Station Square on Wednesday 30 July, 4:30–6:30pm.
Cambridge BID relaunched its monthly Art Club series with the first event of the 2025/26 year on Thursday 3rd July 2025. The evening, titled The Art of Resistance in a Digital Age, featured guest speaker Adele Zeynep Walton, an author and online safety advocate, marking a key stop on her UK book tour. The session explored the human cost of digital life, its impact on mental health and literacy.
Cambridge BID has teamed up with local illustrator and designer, Lele Saa, to produce a fun and quirky new leaflet especially for workers and commuters in the city. The leaflets will be delivered to offices and places of work, during World Wellbeing Week (June 24th – 30th) to help businesses spark important conversations with their employees about what it means to live and work in healthy balance.
Cambridge BID has been named a finalist in the prestigious ATCM Awards 2025, shortlisted in the “Best Safety, Security and Resilience Scheme” category for its proactive approach to festive season safety.

One of the city’s favourite summer traditions makes a welcome return in June when Music in the Parks begins, celebrating the season in musical style in some of Cambridge’s beautiful green open spaces.

The city of Cambridge was lit up with artistic energy this winter as the Cambridge Arts Festival returned for a second year— a 10-day celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community spirit. From independent workshops to gallery openings and immersive experiences, the festival united 1,000’s attendees, welcomed 17 local businesses and venues to get involved, and brought a colourful buzz to the city centre.

This autumn Cambridge BID is asking businesses and organisations to ‘support local’ when thinking about employee rewards or gifting by offering FREE Love Cambridge Gift Card/s when a business or organisation purchases £1000 or more worth of Love Cambridge Gift Cards before 31st December 2024.
As Halloween weekend approaches, the city is preparing for well managed celebration under the Purple Flag status. Maria Manion (Chief Executive) and Hannah Lee (Digital Marketing Coordinator) recently spoke to students at the Westminster Working Cultures event.
