Our Mystery Shop project enables businesses to understand how they are viewed by their customers. We then celebrate excellence in terms of customer service via the Cambridge BID Awards.
What is the project:
For 2025 we are taking a new and exciting approach to the Mystery Shop project. We will be launching a Customer Satisfaction Survey which will take place over June, July and August. The survey will allow for customers who are visiting participating businesses to provide scores and comments about their experience - giving real customer feedback.
The top scoring businesses will then be individually Mystery Shopped by independent company Storecheckers. The Cambridge BID Awards are presented to those businesses that achieve the highest scores in their Mystery Shop visits and winners are awarded in each of the categories listed below.
How to get involved?
This is an ongoing project and businesses within the BID area can register to participate in 2025. We are looking for participating businesses in the following categories:
Late Night Venue (bars, pubs and clubs)
Restaurant
Café
Independent Business
National Business
Professional Business
Leisure / Tourism
Overnight Accommodation
Market or Street Trader
