Helen will also be focusing on how we can develop a more sustainable funding model to support the delivery of visitor economy work and ensuring the broad Cambridge offer is effectively communicated.
Becky Burrell has moved to Director of Operations and Development. Becky will focus on ensuring the BID delivers complex major projects effectively, she will look at the delivery of new projects (capital and revenue), and how we engage with the different sectors across the city. Becky will develop the role of arts of culture at the BID, working with partners to ensure we maximise our resources and work effectively for our levy payers.
Natalie Cargill takes on a new role as Head of Marketing & Communications. Natalie will focus on the way the BID presents itself to our levy payers, stakeholders, residents and consumers. Cambridge appeals to a range of audiences and Natalie will ensure we are using the right mediums to communicate with all audiences and the messaging is right. She will also be looking to further develop the marketing & comms strategy for the BID.
Glen Sharp, Chair Cambridge BID says, ‘This is an exciting new phase in Cambridge BID’s development. We know tourism, arts and culture play an important part in the evolution of the city and its reputation. These new appointments recognise the talent and expertise we have within the team at Cambridge BID. They will help take us forward in the development of the BID and respond to the demands within the city, the changing national structures and of course ensure we are able to deliver the objectives set out in our five-year business plan and deliver outstanding projects and represent the interests of our levy payers.’
