Join us for Summer in the Square!

New for 2025, Cambridge BID and CB1 Community present Summer in the Square, a free event series every Wednesday in July, 4.30–6.30 PM.

Enjoy live music from fantastic local bands, relax in deckchairs, and grab a bite from foodPark’s delicious food trucks. Each week, local businesses and community groups will host interactive activities for all to enjoy—perfect for after-work relaxation or a fun family outing.

Come along, get involved, and enjoy the summer evenings in the square!

Wednesday 2nd July

Join Cultivating Change, a local charity using gardening to boost well-being and community connections. They’ll be giving away free seeds and seedlings and leading fun, hands-on activities like Silly Seed Heads and Wildflower Balls. Established in 2020, they work with schools, hospitals, and community groups to promote the benefits of growing and green spaces.

Wednesday 9th July

Get active with Living Sport, an organization promoting health and fitness in the community! They’ll be offering: Mini health checks (e.g. blood pressure), Pop-up sports (badminton, mini table tennis), and a Cycle challenge (static bike). Decathlon will be supporting the show with soft archery.

Cambridgeshire Repair Café Network helps reduce waste by offering free repair services and teaching sustainable skills.

Join the Crotch Repair Workshop—bring your old jeans, learn how to fix them, and take the skills home! Plus, take part in a clothes swap. It’s a great way to repair, refresh, and give back.

Get involved!
