Takeover Trip 2022

Objectives

● Secure one influencer and their plus one

● Promote Cambridge as an aspirational holiday destination for winter 2022/23 and beyond

● Showcase the beauty of Autumn/Winter in Cambridge, and position it as the ultimate romantic

getaway

● Highlight the City’s offering from heritage and culture to outdoor spaces, restaurants and

shopping

● Showcase multiple passion points throughout the itinerary

● Ensure Cambridge is kept front of mind

● Drive traffic to owned channels, website and partner channels, including Hotel Du Vin

In order to showcase Cambridge’s diverse offering and highlight the city as a year-round romantic

destination, an influencer takeover was organised in November with @kelseyinlondon. To position

Cambridge as the ultimate romantic getaway, the itinerary included a stay at the Signature Suite in Hotel

du Vin, the Taste du Vin Experience package, a winter punt with Scudamore’s and a visit to Kettle’s Yard

with the support of key partners across the city.

● Drive traffic to owned channels, website and partner channels

In order to showcase Cambridge’s rich offering and promote travel to the City from London, a group

influencer trip was organised in November with @pocketwanderings, @jessonthames, @george_in_london, @stephyttravels and @wakinguphere in attendance. From an overnight at the

University Arms to an autumnal punt with Scudamore’s and a ghost tour, the trip touched on a number of

different verticals and supported many key partners across Cambridge to promote Autumn and beyond

Group Influencer Trip -March 2022

In order to showcase Cambridge’s rich offering and promote travel to the City from London, a group

influencer trip was organised in March with @ashleemajormoss, @leeshbrock, @ginagoesto, @wanderlustruby and @wakinguphere in attendance.

From an overnight at the new Graduate Hotel to afternoon tea at historic Fitzbillies, the trip touched on a number of different verticals and supported many key partners across Cambridge.
