What is the Project?

In 2018 Cambridge BID introduced a new event to the city, a large LED screen showing the full BBC coverage of Wimbledon for the 2-week period.  

Who does it benefit?

Located near the train station, the screen was designed to encourage people who work in the area to come out at lunch time or stay after work to enjoy the city.  Working with FoodPark and the local businesses, we ensured there were catering options available throughout the week.

Project Status

The screen was in situ for the full 2-week period of Wimbledon (first 2 weeks in July). 3rd – 16th July 2023.
